Located on the volcanic Ring of Fire, Indonesia has a seemingly endless supply of volcanoes to summit. If hiking is not your thing Indonesia is literally surrounded by water activities. Housing some of the best surfing and diving in the world you could loose yourself on the beaches of Indonesia.

Visiting Prambanan Without a Tour – Java Adventure Part 1

Prambanan is a 9th century temple dedicated to the Hindu Trimurti, the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. Located nearby Yogyakarta on the island of Java this temple is a must see when visiting Indonesia. Prambanan is very accessible on your own and it was my first stop during my 2 day Java scooter adventure.

The "Mountain of Fire" also known as Mount Merapi is Indonesia's most active volcano. Located on the island of Java this hike is intense but well worth it. Hiking Mount Merapi on your own is an easy thing to do and I had a blast on my solo hike.
