Meet Sheridan
I am a photographer, explorer, travel writer, van builder, and coffee creator.
The fall of 2013 set my current life direction in motion, initially I intended to take a 6-month work hiatus to journey abroad before returning to my career in the electrical industry. Unrealized to my former self, this hiatus would turn into a lifelong driving passion that propelled me into exploring the depths of my soul through the awe-inspiring journey centered around my love for travel, nature, hiking, and photography.
Originally from North Dakota, I grew up and worked in a small rural community. After high school I obtained a technical degree in electronics and started a career working in the electrical industry in my hometown. I worked for a handful years in the industry before I set off on that 6 month journey and instantly became hooked on adventure. Flash forward to today where I’ve been everything from a backpacker, digital nomad, expat, entrepreneur, even a full-time vanlifer, all the while learning and working continuously throughout various industries and jobs with the aim to be a self-sufficient entrepreneur.
Throughout this past decade I have called many places home and lived with a backpack on my back more than younger me would have thought possible! I have experienced the ups and downs of significant travel injuries, traumas, anxieties, isolation, community seeking, and conquering mountains. I’ve grown and healed through a lot but the journey doesn’t stop here. 2023 was a pivotal year that shifted perspective and set my path forward towards the excitement of Capturing Adventure, with the ardor that I had set out with in 2013.

My main aim in life is to cultivate a life that revolves around discovering places, cultures, and experiencing adventure, all the while building a life aligned with my values and having stability and a community.

Covers the monthly cost for the newsletter software, website hosting, and digital editing tools used for Capture Adventure.

Helps cover SIM cards and monthly cell or internet data to connect and share digitally.

This will go towards helping with lodging and accommodation in hostel dorms or rooms, Airbnb or guesthouses.

Depending on the country, reaching this level will help offset the cost to stay in private room accommodation instead of just hostel dorm beds. Which is important for gear safety from theft and working space.
